Cutting off and discarding the crust on all four sides of the bread is optional. I did it for optics because this is a food blog. If you do decide that you don't the crusts either, don't throw them away. You can make them into croutons or milk and bread pudding.

Ingredients
¼cupsalted buttersoftened to room temperature
¼cupsifted powdered sugaruse less for less sweet toast
3teaspoonssesame seedsany color
6slicesloaf bread
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Line a baking tray with a silicone mat or non-stick paper.
In a bowl, whisk together the butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
Spread the butter-sugar mixture on one side of the bread slices.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Arrange the bread on the prepared baking tray.
Toast in the oven until the sides are lightly browned and the top is dry.
