I cook, I take photos, I write.
My daughter cooks, bakes, draws and paints.
Together, we formed Umami Art Club, a snail mail service for lovers of recipes and art created by humans.
Snail mail? Yes, physical objects stuffed in an envelope and sent out via courier.
What physical objects? Every month, we’ll send Umami Art Club members a themed set that includes:
- a recipe card with full ingredients list and instructions;
- a letter about the month’s theme;
- a sticker sheet with images related to the recipe (if you’re into journaling, you’ll love these stickers);
- a postcard of the finished dish (you can actually send it to a friend);
- a word game highlighting the recipe (just for fun);
- a pair of stationery paper that features the month’s theme and
- a loyalty card which you can fill with stickers (that we will provide) for freebies and discounts.

For the month of May, the theme is mango, the national fruit of the Philippines and the most loved fruit in our household. The recipe is mango refrigerator cake.
