Ramen
Defined as a wheat noodle dish served in broth, Japanese ramen was born in the Yokohama Chinatown. The term itself — ramen — is derived from the Chinese lāmiàn or pulled noodles. From its birthplace, love for ramen spread to other regions of Japan giving rise to regional variants of a dish that has become a Japanese icon.
